It is with great pride, excitement, and gratitude that we announce, and celebrate, our 10 year anniversary at Foodie Catering!
It’s truly amazing that we opened 10 years ago on Mills Avenue with just four people, a plan, and the passion to become one of Orlando’s top caterers. We were excited, optimistic, and ready to take on Orlando! Each year we continued to grow significantly from the previous year, and with that growth brought more employees, our own building, more equipment, new venues, and clients!
Our Employees – we have been so fortunate to have some of the best employees in the business! There are countless examples of dedication, excellence, and a shared stellar work ethic that are too numerous to mention, but it has never gone unnoticed and we greatly value our team.
Our Clients – looking back at the early years, we are still working with many of our first clients and have developed some lasting friendships along the way. These clients not only gave us a chance when no one heard of Foodie Catering, but they also spread the word on their experience which was more impactful than any ad or marketing we could have done at that time. We truly value the many wonderful people we have had the pleasure of working with.
Venues – we learned early on how important a venue can be to a business in this industry. It was not until around our fifth year that we were fortunate enough to be given a chance as a preferred vendor at an event venue. One of the first big breaks we had was at The Mezz/Abbey downtown Orlando. Wendy and her team were one of the first venues to put us on their list and we were (are) very grateful and proud to be aligned with that venue. Another venue that really impacted our business was Bridle Oaks Barn in Deland. Shawna, her team, and her venue are top notch! She really saw the value and quality we could bring to her brides and promoted us to them. Another key venue that continues to take us to the next level is Club Lake Plantation. We are now an exclusive caterer at this venue with weddings almost every weekend. There are several other venues we frequent, and we are grateful to each and every one of them for their support and confidence in us.
Vendors – it takes a village, and there is no greater example of that than in the events industry. From the event planners, the linen companies, rental companies, food suppliers, DJ’s, florists, photographers, and all the other vendors involved in putting an event together, we thank you for your partnership, friendship, and support!
Last, but not least, our family. Our niece, nephew, children, brother, sister, parents, and friends who have all played a part and helped us along the way, we thank you and couldn’t have done it without you!
Reflecting back on this journey has given us pause to account for all that we have accomplished, and provides us with even more excitement when looking forward to the next 10 years!
